A Super Super Long POST...

I think this post is rather overdue.. And super long.. but better late than never.. events will be described in a narrative note, so if you find any part familiar or true.. it's not purely coincidental.. it's true.. so here it goes..

Melaka 1 Day Trip

I came back from malaysia last sunday. But somehow i felt i left some things undone when i reached singapore. So i discussed with yanli, and decided I'll go to melaka to meet the volleyball people. Especially those that i did not see on my last trip. It turned out to be loads of fun.. even though it was only for one day.

It began on the early morning on the 29th. Ask my mum to drop me at lavender bus terminal on her way to work. and there i got a $16 ticket to malacca.. so this marks the beginning of my journey. My first ever solo voyage across the border. felt a little nervy at first.. but than i told myself.. "ahh hell, it's only malaysia.. and half of the time, i know what they are saying. i just act blur" hahaa..

it was supposed to be a 3hr plus ride. the last time i came with yanli, the journy took 4 hrs cos the driver was freaking slow. this time around, it wasnt any better, the driver was just as slow.. and worst, he even made a pitstop.. in fact 2 stops.. one for food.. one for toilet.. hahaa. crap.. this driver has a leaking bladder and a bottomless stomach.. hahaa..

ok so by the time i reached melaka sentral, it's already after 12pm.. so i took almost 5 hrs to reach.. wat the hell.. anyway.. going to try another bus company new time around.. the bus is really quite sucky.. but i can accept lar.. hahaa.. first thing i did when i reached was to find food.. and i decided on A&W.. hehee.. root beer float.. shiok.. but kindda boring to be eating alone.. :p

spend about 45mins ina internet cafe at the sentral.. dirt cheap.. only 2rm per hr.. haha.. but the place is also quite rundown.. so yah.. the place justifies the price. next.. i began my shopping trail.. cos gotta buy something for yanli's sis.. so took the panaroma bus down to mahkota.. and i was told the vball people saw me on the bus.. which was like.. DUHzZ!! mainly cos i tot you all haven reach melaka.. i told fung to msg me when u all reach.. duhzZ again..

anyway, so many paragraphs down.. and i still haven talked abt meeting the vball ppl.. this shows how much time i spent wasting walking around in melaka.. even more duhzZ.. when fung said they will only walk around in the early evening.. haha.. melaka does really have much of a night life.. esp weekdays.. oh well..

after getting wat i was suppose to get at mahkota.. i decided to look for a peranakan restaurant which me and yanli somehow just couldnt find on our trip here.. and this time.. we had a discovery online that the road which we were looking for the restaurant is longer than we thought.. and truely.. it was damn long.. it took me almost 30mins to walk from one end to the other before finding this shop.. and i just took a photo of it..

after this photo, i begun a super long and actually rather fast journey.. i took a brisk walk down several roads and unknown alleys.. all based on my acute sense of direction and random luck. i managed to find the hotel they are staying in less than 45mins worth of walking and sweating under the horrible sun.. but i made it.. this hotel looks rather presentable from the outside.. but once i stepped it.. Voom!!

time travelled backwards.. 2 decades...

the super outdated layout and the ancient wooden reception desks and counters.. omg.. but i still feel the lift is the most classic of all.. 24 storeys of hotel rooms.. and the lifts crawl at 5sec/storey speed.. you calculate how long it takes to get to 17th floor.. oh yah.. the buttons in the lift.. super retro.. acrylic buttons... haven seen them since i was in kindergarten.. hahaa..

I was dragged to play bridge a while after reaching.. bridge is fun.. haven played in ages.. loved those days in tj when bridge is a legal card game everywhere in school.. the canteen is filled with bridge players.. felt so intellectual back then.. haha.. who did i played with?? eeeehhh.. i think it was michelle, chermaine & krystal.. and i think i din win at all.. suxX.. hahaa..

soon it was finally time to set off.. shopping time.. the tj bus brings the gang to mahkota.. oh yes.. back there again.. :P it's alrite for me.. i dun mind shopping at all.. just that i couldnt really find clothes that fit and look good.. anyway.. the guys aint really interested in shopping.. so we ended up in the bowling alley.. here's where the fun begins..

that's wengseng there desperately trying to do a hook, which din really materialise through all his frames. it was kenneth who stole the show.. 170+ score.. owned all of us.. all i could do was occasional cheers are a nice spare or strike.. which wasnt too bad actually..

we were way past our meeting time by the time we finished bowling.. anyway.. i dun think anyone was really complaining about it.. or maybe there was.. but i din hear them.. ok.. it wasnt really our fault.. the lanes were just damn faulty lar.. and i think wengseng could have caused that.. for dropping his bowling balls so hard.. spoil the place..

met up with the reat of the gang and i brought them to Formosa Chicken Rice Balls.. Table separation seems quite clear everytime.. it's the TAs, Fung's Table and Mine.. hahaa.. Again.. i have to say this is not the best in melaka.. the best one i personally like, doesnt open at night. so too bad.. go for 2nd best.. but i think most ppl like their food pretty much.. they looked enjoyed.. hahaa.. JP dropped his rice ball while trying to pose for this picture.. hahaa.. poor kid.. lost his balls and din even get a good shot.. hahaa.. so he stuck his head into the next picture as well. hahaa..

the most hilarious thing happened on the way to the chicken rice.. JP was freaked out by this buddha statue which was placed on the floor behind the grilles of a shop.. the way he freaked was super super funny.. BUT.. when i looked into the shop myself when we were walking back.. I got a little freaked too.. haha.. it was in a rather eerie and shocking position. hehee

walked the long walk back to Dataran Pahlawan after dinner. we were suppose to meet the bus there. wengseng wanted to look for auntie anne's, so we went. and I was rite!! there wasnt any. hahaa.. i bought Dairy King Ice Cream for some of them, with everyone contributing watever small change they have. I ended up paying the cashier with a whole stack of 1RM.. whahaaa.. the ice cream was nice.. creamy and totally no sign of any icey bits..

this dunman high TA gang did not join us for dinner, they went shopping instead. they seem to have endless stuff to buy. amazing.. they bought this mini bolster.. which many others went to buy the next day. or maybe they already bought it. I'm not sure.. i just know MANY bought that mini bolster.

took some photos on the bus, thanks to xiujie. i passed him the cam while i go get a drink in mac.. and he goes whoring with the cam.. hahaa.. after that it was back to the scruffy looking hotel.. amazing the place did not shake while we were in it.. guess i was getting used to the shaky hotels in taiwan. earthquakes are common there.. k i sidetrack.. :P

k back at the hotel, after some washing up, the non-TA-gals gang all gathered in kenneth/shengyu/jp's room... heard the TA gals were playing in-between.. but i'm not sure.. din go join them.. hehee.. but i'm sure they had fun.. they are a crazy bunch.. anyway, the room is adjoined to zoe/serena/shiyun's rm.. so yah.. it becomes a BIG room.. mahjong was the first activity on the list.. like JP said in his post, he and zoe are simply damn good lar.. or damn lucky.. the tiles are falling for them.. aarrgghhh.. they managed several big wins.. and all i could conjure are some puny little wins to minimise losses.

while all this mahjong was happening, 2 major scandals were brewing.. hahaa.. kenneth was trying to sleep on the bed just beside the mahjong table.. and serena lying pretty close by.. haha.. scandal 2 was more lewd.. hahaa.. wengseng and shiyun in the adjoining room.. doing god knows wat.. haha.. and that shiyun keeps screaming as if u know what is happening.. hahaa.. oh well.. we could only imagine.. initialy mahjong was rather boring.. cos the JP and Zoe tagteam are winning almost all the time.. suxX... we got sick of it..

we gathered everyone in shiyun's room and started to play some dumb game.. so i suggested playing closed-eye version murderer.. but somehow i couldnt get the game mechanics going rite.. aarrgghh.. my fault.. so it was rather boring.. murderer and the multi-level heart attack are the most fun games i've played.. all thanks to hay introducing them in taiwan... but sadly.. i forgot how the games went.. aarrgghhh.. oh well.. let's skip the boring murderer part.. i think most of them are falling asleep during the game. and i was the most entertained.. hehe..

Next up is basically the highlight of the night.. truth or dare.. with no option other than truth.. hahaa.. and we played it indian poker style.. with plenty of cheating involved.. haha.. the juiciest truths as usual came from the most scandalous issues.. scandalous people, scandalous issues... it's all a setup i say.. hahaa.. but the truth was good.. as for actual confessions are only available to the privilage few of us who are present.. hahaa.. for the rest who aint around.. keep guessing.. hehee... but i must say.. wengseng is somehow the target of everything.. every question either has him involved or he will be one asking question.. hahaa.. super involved in the game... the game ended with the last question at me.. think they got bored with my answer.. hahaa..

back to mahjong again.. just JP, Shengyu, Keith and me.. played for money.. and JP still continued his winning streaks.. suxX... but i dun think anyone paid him... hahaa.. so yah.. JP.. good game lar.. hahaa.. u good.. while we were playing.. the rest konked out one by one.. kenneth just sat on the floor by the table.. xiujie & wengseng slept in the gal's room.. the gals slept on the guy's double bed.. looking just like a bunch of sardines.. cos they were in the exact same position.. very sardine-looking.. hahaa.. oh yah.. where's xinzhi?? hmmm.. was he playing mahjong with us?? cant rem.. hahaa

when we got tired of the game around 6am.. the 4 mahjongers.. disperse.. i went back to fung's room to take a nap... and i fell dead asleep.. when fung woke me up, i thought he was going for breakfast.. but he was actually back from breakfast.. duhzZ.. so it was about time to checkout of the hotel.. hahaa.. washed up a little and packed up my stuff.. me and fung walked down 17 storeys.. the lift was just too slow.. i was still half asleep so i had to take each step carefully.. almost missed a step quite a few times.. zZzZZzzZz...

back on the bus.. and off we go.. where else but back to Pahlawan/Mahkota again.. hahaa.. the girls went shopping again.. while the guys went roaming around in pahlawan.. and shengyu went to get ice-cream.. he could no longer resist the temptation of the creamy Dairy King.. hahaa.. i bought cup corn.. but i got sick of it after a while.. and i saw fish in the fountain.. and i started feeding the fish with the oily corn nibblets.. the fish swarmed at me.. hahaa.. see that splash just behind serena, that's wengseng feeding the fish with my corn.. those fish are starving.. oh. did i mention no feeding was allowed?? hehee...

we went across to the arcade in mahkota parade.. the arcade is not really dirt cheap.. but not bad lar.. kenneth and xiujie are good at arcade games... esp xiujie.. he just trashed xinzhi and JP with his initial D style driving.. he and kenneth also completed the whole time crisis 2.. with some extra $$ of cos.. hahaa.. but i still think the highlight is when many of us played daytona together... i tell you.. i really wanted to win.. but somehow the steering wheel is just not working for me.. so i had to improvise to have some fun.. i struggled to make a 180degree turn and wait for victims.. hehee.. i waited and waited for the cars to come around the bend.. and i started my engines and VRROoooMMM.. BaAAAANNGGG!!! EuphoRIA!! hahaa... cars flew in the air.. hahaa.. shiok.. this tells us, you dun have to be first to control the game or have fun in daytona.. hahaa.. :P

oh yah.. that's kenneth there.. trying to "avoid" bullets flying at him.. hahaa..

time for the last meal in Melaka.. i brought them to the famous cendol in the area.. generous servings of gula melaka... finely shaved ice.. large red beans and the green cendol.. oh yah.. for you ignorant ppl out there.. the green jelly is call cendol.. hahaa.. the little eatery itself is actually quite nostalgic.. so we couldnt resist taking some dumb photos.. hahaa...

after this was making our back onto the team bus.. and back to singapore... but a few things happened on the bus.. like kenneth going around taking pictures of ppl sleeping.. and the MSN chat room which consist of xiujie, wengseng and me.. zoe got approved of her application much later.. hahaa... yah.. than we had this stop at a shop that sells local products at so call wholesale prices.. my foot.. been there many times b4.. and it's not at all cheap.. and most of the products are available in singapore.. hahahaa.. but we still spend $$.. just to expend our ringgit...

I guess that's about the end of the whole 1 day trip to Melaka... i wanted to visit vanessa as well.. but i had to go back to tj with fung.. to get key from him.. anyway... amazing how much you can write about just 1 day rite?? hehee...

Malaysia 2007

Day 1

It all started with an early morning bus to Melaka... that's why yanli fell asleep on the bus very very soon.. haha.. and that gave me the chance to take her photo in sleep.. hehee...

the journey there took us more than 4hrs.. basically cos the driver was surprisingly slow.. havent seen such a slow bus driver in a very long time... anyway.. by the time we reached there.. we were hungry!! and first on our menu was Hainanese chicken rice balls.. YUMMY!! the chicken was very tender.. the black sauce is nice.. so was the chilli... all the key ingredients of a good chicken rice is present.. except for the rice.. not as tasty as we expected... rather bland in flavour.. butit was still good.. and the balls were smaller den i imagined.. i was thinking larger balls.. but these were.. rather bite-sized.. they were good no matter.. worth the $$...

we went to explore the rest of the city of HISTORY.. and came across this signboard with all the directions.. complicated.. anyway.. getting around the town centre is quite idiot proof.. most of the places are within walking distance.. so just walk..

next stop was a whole bunch of museums.. luckily, one ticket will basically bring you to most of the important/popular museums... BUT.. seriously.. i dun think there's much interesting stuff inside the museum.. perhaps i was just turned off by the lousy and ugly human they have in the museum.. UGLY.... something else pretty dum was the fish in this picture.. they suspended fish to make them appear in water.. SO SO SO corny... so so dum...

We also saw someone familiar... Sir Stamford Raffles.. this reminds me that actually our histories are pretty similar and pretty much linked.. do some research and you'll know why... i'll shall be lazy on this aspect.. there's still loads to cover here... heheee

These are Quail Eggs.. Very High Cholestorol.. But they are NICE.. especially when they are fried like this.. my faves are those i ate in Taipei, Ximenting.. so i guess these will have to be 2nd best.. anyway.. there was a Thai Fair at this shopping mall.. so this aint local... it's thai...

GO

GOING

GONE

That's me gobbling up all the quail eggs.. no more eggs for the rest of the TRIP.. hehee..

this is the landmark of Melaka.. the Red Buildings.. a mark of the dutch influence in this place... the day continued with more walking around in the area.. looking and also some shopping..

This was our first dinner there.. peranakan food.. not fantastic.. not the best i've eat also.. tried it simply cos it was near our hotel.. and the place look rather cosy & homely...

This is a very interesting place in our hotel.. this hall is just behind the main lobby.. and it's called "Ying Yan Ting" which literally means Hall to welcome Swallows... and the birds actually have nests on this walls.. kindda freaky at night.. but it's really interesting..

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At this point in time.. i'm alittle lazy to continue.. but i'll show some interesting photos that i must mention instead... for more photos and happenings in our trip.. just click on the photos and the link will bring you to the fotopic gallery..

<<<< this is yanli looking super freaked out.. cos she din know i was taking photo.. and was afraid i couldnt get onto the cable car.. Priceless expression... :)
^^^ this was taken in the cinema in Genting Highlands.. First time trying these seats.. these are massage chairs from OSIM... and tickets are only 15RM.. which amounts to around S$7.50.. cheap cheap.. super shiok.. lie down flat to watch movie..

^^^This was taken on the morning which we were leaving Genting.. when i saw this beautiful rainbow appearing horizontally across the sky.. so i took a panorama shot.. simply beautiful..

Just as we were on our way back to Singapore, we saw this as we were crossing the causeway.. I never knew there's such a beautiful sight in Singapore too.. the land in the background u see.. that's woodlands..

Announcement!!

Going to Malaysia for a week. Malacca KL perhaps Genting. WIll be back on 27th May... Seeya...

FA Cup Nite's Out

This should be a volleyball outing, cos everyone in the pictures are from volleyball is from TJVB. So i'll mirror this post on TJVB blog too.. hahaa..

I tired asking most of the TJ vballers, past and present. However those who managed to turn up are basically free like me.. haha.. either waiting to enter Uni or having hols. Anyway, 6 of us met at raffles place and went of to look for a place for dinner. Had a pretty hard time looking for something decent to eat. We were just TOO UNfamiliar with that area. Lot's of korean/Jap/Chinese restaurants. BUT!! Our recently-back-fm-taiwan Bingguang want's western food, which is somehow a rarity in the area, so we settled for PIZZA HUT.. haha.. haven had it since... Mr fung treat us to that YEARS back.. hahaa.. As in eating in the restaurant.. Home Deliveries are not counted. Anyway that wasnt enough at all, so we had 2nd part of dinner at Don cafe, Some of us like the chicken pie there very much.. some just din really like it.. and somehow we just did not take any pictures there at all... Must be too engrossed in the food.

Harry's Bar was pretty good, we got a good table right infront of the big screen. quite shiok. that's wat u get for booking early. :) the drinks are not bad.. magaritas are NICE.. esp passion fruit magarita... and some other house cocktails.. pretty interesting.. Bingguang's Harry's 92 was pretty good... good for light drinkers and wanyang's Scarlett O'hara was.. woah.. strong.. or maybe they just got the proportion a little wrong.. but it's still good.. haha..

watch out for this drink though..

SUNSET PARADISE... I personnally do not like it.. yucks... Avoid it people!!

As for the soccer.. the action was pretty end to end.. BUT.. goals were lacking.. the 1st and deciding goal only came late in the 2nd half of extra time.. It was a pretty nice one though... a few exchange of passes between drogba, lampard & mikel.. the result was a magnificently crafted goal.. oh well.. chelsea won.. even though i was wearing Man U tshirt.. hahaa.. nvm.. it was a good goal...

for more photos taken that nite.. point ur mousey on wanyang and click!! hahaa...

FRIDAY

Today is a stay home day for me, the only time i step out of my house was to eat breakfast with my dear and send her to work. Oh our usual wanton mee stall moved, felt pretty lost when we saw a different stall in it's place. We were like stunned and momentarily became idiots staring into blank space. However, we still tried the new stall, not bad, but the old one was much nicer, this was just "not bad".

Anyway, i came home and did practically nothing except stare at the com and wait for someone to online and talk to me. Once in a while there were some chatting to do, the rest of the time was spent just staring at the reincarnation game screen. waiting for turns to appear. haha..

BUT, it's not a day where NOTHING was achieved.. Spent quite a bit of time going thru the whole lot of photos which fung gave me, consists of those from his cam and kelly's cam. OMG!!! There's more than 600photos almost 1gig worth of them.. 2 days.. that's how much photos they took.. and only a few hrs each day.. BUT!!! i still think it's quality that counts.. too many blurred shots. and too many "i dunno what u are trying to take" shots... haha.. so i'll only be uploading those that are less ridiculous onto the fotopic website.. stay tuned for photos.

oh yah, I did 2 applications today too.. or rather, 1 application and received one call.. the call is for the usher position in EXPO, arranging interview 5th jun.. NERVOUS... and i also applied for Customer Service Officer @ cathay, which basically is te usher and box office staff. Wonder if i'll get the jobs. Wednesday went to apply for the IT trade show with wanyang.. but if there's clashes in timing.. most prob i'll let go of the IT trade show, cos ushers have higher PAY!!! hehee..

VERY Early Sunday Morning

Just came back from bowling and supper with the 4e guys.. Haven bowling in ages, felt good bowling again, although wasnt very good. But this rekindle my desire to buy my own bowling ball. hehee.. save $$...

Been talking with the current batch of vballers a lot on MSN recently.. full of crapping and gossiping.. damn funny.. just like those days when was still in tj.. full of memories.. those were fun times with very little to worry about..

I always try to remind them to cherish and enjoy every minute in JC, cos this will be the happy times and enjoyable days.. UNI or army will be a whole different ball game..

Time to sleep and get ready for basketball later...

Dark Friday

Drove home from CCAB with a passenger overload in my car. All was well and there werent any traffic police along the way. Way out of point, but the sky was looking damn gloomy, as if reflecting my mood. Was laughing and talking out loud with some of the guys at prata cafe but i felt like shit actually, just cant understand why the guys cant win. Or rather why cant they just put that extra pint of effort into their receiving, spiking and blockings. AJ is not a team with better players den we do, but yet they have a winning mentally which i'm seriously envious of since the times i was in JC. That was the mentality of their game, win, just whack fearlessly but with brains. I aim to be fearless like them, and be stronger than them one day. Perhaps today is not yet the day. We have different players coming in every year, yet the problem of mental weakness remains. Why? Why does this remain even with different batch of players leaving and coming in? My guess, physical weakness, physically we are not strong enough. We build up mental strength by perservering physically, by challenging our limits, we learn to go against the odds. But our training lacks this. I guess this will be the major change i'll bring about in training if I'm able to continue in TJ.

The Game of Life

Guys lost their match today, but they took 1 set from their opponents and that's the crucial point. That set will bring them thru to the semis. So it's still not so bad. They have lost the game mainly to themselves again, very similar to the manner they lost to MJC.

In my many posts in TJVB blog, i've talked about plenty of ways to keep the morale up, how to face their opponents. When they fail to achieve what's stated, i find it hard to put blame on them. Cos in the past i couldn't do that well, in fact i still might not be able to do it. But i guess there's a crucial difference, now there's ppl like me and other seniors telling them the rite things, in the past, there's only fung. And truthfully, fung wasnt that proficient then. All is better now, I do hope that the guys achieve something in this competition, get into finals minimum. But my biggest regret will be not being able to bring the gals further into the competition.

Someone asked how to improve in the game of life. Well the question i would ask in response would be, "What do you consider an improvement in the game of life? Are you sure that improvement is really an improvement or just a meer desire to feel better?" To me the best outcome is being able to live and survive through the game of life.

In this game there are no resets, no replays. Only memories, good or bad, those will be the only things that will follow us for a very long time. As much as we would want to redo so many of the things we could have done better in one way or another, having done some things the way we did is what makes our lives unique and special. Be it good or bad, winning or losing, they are part & parcel of life, losing makes you cherish future winnings. The most important mentality to have the desire and hunger to win, while being able to survive thru and learn from loses.

I've spent 3 years in TJ, without much aim or direction. In fact i'm still pretty lost now, no idea wat i'm doing in NUS. Even less idea what i'm doing in civil engineering. The one thing i'm certain of, I see my role in TJVB to give all members fond memories of the 2 years they have in TJVB.

Pretty Boring Weekend

Saturday was slightly more eventful than sunday. I had volleyball training in the morning followed by badminton in the afternoon. I realised it's kindda hard to find a place to restring my badminton racket. Went to the sportlinks at bedok interchange just before i my badminton game. They had the service there, but it will take 1 week!! So that didnt work out. Guess i'll just go back on another day, or does anyone know where i can do it and not take 1 week? In my memories, restringing usually only take 30mins.. :P

Sunday has been pretty boring except when yanli came to find me for lunch. pretty much rot at home after that. So boring, so sianzZ... And all this sianness is due to one little monster!! yupzZ, that's the little monster!! hehee.. Yanli's niece, both her parents are in US so her aunties are taking care of her. She's taking up my timeslots.. :P

yah, she's cute and yanli say's she looks like me when i was young. Conclusion, all babies look alike when young. :P

6 more days before her mum comes back. boohoohoo...

but that also means, hey ppl!! I'm free, please ask me out.. hehee..

Good May

May has been good so far, Tj guys won against HCI today. Morale overwhelmed them. GOod win, good play, good supporters, GOOD GAME!! 1 more win and SEMIs will be knocking on the door. Went to BK at millenia walk with all the guys and gals, kids are funny. hahaa..

Second day of may and i've already watched 2 movies!! muahahaa.. Watched WILD HOGs yesterday at bedok. It's a very good show. Very funny and rather corny but it actually has a morale of them story.. hahaa.. Watch it and find out for yourself.

Today I watched the long awaited spiderman 3. 1 superhero vs 3 super villains and his own dark side, while getting a little messed up in his love life. Lots of content in the plot, i guess that's the justification for it 2.5hrs showtime. It's action packed and a rather good ending to the series, IF it's going to end. Kirsten Dunst does look a little pale, anorexia?? Watch it!! it's good..

Mayday

Exams are officially over since yesterday. I'm free from studies for the moment. For the next few months, i'll need to find a part time job and support myself alittle. My little red picanto need $$ to maintain also.

Meanwhile, i have volleyball to bother with. Gals got knocked out yesterday through a series of unfortunate events. Our main player got injured and the rest of the team just couldnt seem to recover from the shock and they finally lost. It just proves that they are still very young and not able to control themselves yet. When a teammate falls out due to injury, the rest of the team will just have to work doubly hard to cover for her lost. That something they will need to learn, but sadly this is the end of their season. Guys however are still in the running, and tml they will face their toughest opponents so far. In fact none of their opponents in the second round can be considered a walk in the part.

I miss those days when i can actually play and make a difference to the results.

I'm enlightened!!

After today's paper, i've almost guaranteed myself of not being able to achieve any honours in my degree, UNLESS!!! miracle happens and i still scrap thru this module. totally, lost in the woods when i looked thru the questions, i spend the last half an hour planning how to retake and study for the module again. haha. anyway!! 3 down!! 1 dead!! 2 more to go!! hehehee..

Tj lost both matches today, gals almost won AJ, it's a pity they lost. I was really looking forward for them to upset SAJC, especially when it seems like SA were underestimating us. But it was not to be, thankfully, the gals still have a chance to get into the second round. Monday, they MUST win MJC. Guys lost to MJC today, I had a feeling they would lose today actually, firstly, they dun look prepared. They dun look scary. They dun really look like they wanna win. Anyway, they are already thru to the second round. The real fight is only about to begin.

My Ass Burns!!

Diarrhea!! Vomit, fever, dizzyness. You name it, i have it. luckily, i feel much better now. thanks to the pretty effective medicine from the doctor. I had 2 papers today, and i was feeling okay during the first one. at the end of that paper, i started going to the toilet very frequently, and immediately i knew something was wrong. I called yanli to check up on her too, she also has similar symptoms. AARRGGHHH... must be the stupid muslim food we had the night before. we went to this shop new kembagan MRT, it's call al-ameen or something, ate Nasi goreng USA & Murtabak pizza. I'm boycotting this place from now on, and people!! watch out for it!!

I'm ROTTING in School!!!

I came to school today today. but al i did was to print my notes and tutorial solutions. I think that's all i'm going to do today. really cant set my mind to studying in the day time. maybe it's just too bright, i belong in the night. I'll start all over again tonight. going to kill some time now, and find yanli later to accompany me. hahaa..

btw, the little red picanto is in my grasp. i drove it around for the past 2 days. it's a real challenge to drive it. firstly, the engine's pretty weak, secondly driving manual really keeps me on my nerves.

Crawling into the Final Phase

Assignments, Lab reports, Term papers are all matters of the past for now. It's OVER!! Just finished the last of it a while ago, but THIS IS STILL NOT THE END!! Exams are round the corner. Frankly speaking, i'm totally not confident in any of the papers. Why do i always have to choose so many modules and in the end, kindda mess up all of them? Arghghgg.. Well, it's also too late to regret, i'll just have to do wat i have been doing the past few sems, start "hugging buddha's leg", it doesnt always work anyway. Luck seem to have left me long long ago. Energy too..

Oh well.. 2 more days, 1st paper, Computer Programing practical exam. It's a repeat module for me, cos i failed it last yr. not confident of passing it this year too, but i believe i'm at a better state than last yr. the rest of the papers will start rolling in starting from the 21st. the good news is, it's going to end by MAY.

starting in about the same time, is the A divisions. Going to be part of the TJ coaching staff, well officially there's only me and fung.. haha.. unofficially.. there's plenty of seniors who are coming back. BUT!!! i still dun see enough people coming for alumni training.. super saddening...

SNEAK PREVIEW : I'm going to get a RED Picanto VERY VERY soon...

Relieved!!! --- For now..

Completed 3 Lab Reports, 3 Assignments in the past 7 days. Although that's not the end of it, at least i can take a slight breather. Coming up next will be mugging and more mugging, which i hope will be able to start soon, cause my lag is getting bigger by the day. As for deadlines, there will be a Term paper and 1 HUGE lab report due next week.

300 & Stomp the Yard

These are 2 movies i've watched over the past week, though i did watch some thai shows on vcd like "the dorm", "mercury man" both are rather corny, but entertaining.. haha.. and re-watched "just like heaven" on SCV, that had a pretty heavy impact on me. It reminded me how much i like to watch reese witherspoon, and her movies.

anyway, back to main points, i personally like "300" pretty much. it's basically a small army fighting a mathematically enormous army. i like the simple plot, pure-simpleminded-egomaniac thinking of the spartans. the fight scenes war pretty well shot, there's no jumpy views which really just cause headache instead of creating tension. teamwork is the essence of their combat tactics. it's always exhilarating to see impeccable teamwork in the process. shiok. haha. i think greek history is as messy as rojak, some bright colors are evident in the dish, but most of it is just covered in a black gluey marsh. BUT it still tastes GOOD. haha.. spartans are actually short, just look back at the scene when Leonidas met Xerxes, Leonidas looked like a hobbit in front of Xerxes. one word can describe the situation, comical. the scenary in the whole show is quite beatifully done, esp when it's totally shot in blue/green screens.. xerxes is from persia, which essentially is asia, and wat bugs me is that the producer depicts asia as a place full of freaks and freaky creatures.. ouch!! overall good show, goos entertainment.
(3 of 5*)

"stomp the yard" is something i watch just last night. it's about black culture in US, hiphoping, battling but the MAIN in this movie is called STEPPING. Stepping and stomping to heavy rhythmic music, radical moves and unison is the key of this dance. it's probably adapted from s stomping musical, cos there's just lots of action. the stomping gets your body beating to the rhythm, gets your blood pumping. simple plot with the simple ideas of life, dun give up doing what's right. it make you wanna dance, and that's wat makes a good movie good -influence-

End of Labs

Done 4 Labs in the last 10 days, busy weeks are only halfway thru... after doing the labs comes lab reports.. so in the coming 2 weeks, i'll have 4 lab reports to hand in, 1 term paper, 1 essay, 2 assignment.. and lesson are still on going.. so sianzZ...

Recent Movies

Just watched "music and lyrics" on monday.. It's a very entertaining and enjoyable movie.. Funny with a tinge of touchings.. i wonder if the songs sung were actually done by themselves.. cos i really quite like the songs.. good, catchy songs always make good enjoyable movies.. just like in dreamgirls.. nice..

The next movie i want to catch is 300, the review of this movies seems very positive, but i receive news from some sources in US that the movie was actually quite disappointing.. hmmm.. i wonder... i'll still watch it anyway...

2nd Half of the Term STARTS!!!!

It's exactly 2 weeks since my last post.. i wonder if anyone missed me during my absence from here.. ANYONE??? leave me a message. hehee..

Anyway, Chinese New Year is halfway through, i have not counted my red packet $$ yet.. i'm gonna wait till the 15th is over.. just for the mystery of it.. hahaa.. i ate quite a lot of titbits this year.. i think it's cos i'm having my midterm break at the same time.. so i just try to finish up the remnants of the titbits after most of the visiting to my place was done.. din invite anyone over this year, except for the annual visiting of my 4e ppl, have seen them in ages.. really!! i've been missing most of the outings mainly due to volleyball commitment in TJ.. this year is also unique, cos quite a few of them brought their partners along, huiting brought joe, silie brought lirong and latest of all tenghui brought jane.. took some photos while they were at my place.. just follow the usual photo links on the top left..

went KTV with yanli during the break too.. haven been singing for a long long time.. so the 2 of us just sang non-stop for aronud 5 hrs.. hahaa. the consequence is sore throat followed by throat infection.. followed by flu.. headache which is still on going now... huge price for a KTV session dunch ya think so?

it's into the second half of this semester, speed of things are going to pick up once again. i have 6 modules and i've just S/U one on sunday just before the deadline.. for those who aint in NUS and dun know wat's S/U, it's basically opting a module to be graded only satisfactory/unsatisfactory.. takes some pressure off the module since there will be not grade score to affect the CAP and getting U is almost impossible.. so technically that leaves me with 5.5 modules to work with.. still alot...

i'm now at east coast mac trying to get my reading assignment which is due today done.. hehe... back to work....

Essays are DONE!!

I've completed my 3 day marathon of essay writing. Completed my final and most tedious essay this afternoon and asked my fren to submit for me. i had to read through more than 60 pages of readings for this essay. i guess it's quite an achievement for myself. although i try not to think too much about the final product, i still doubt it's going to gimme very very good grades. perhaps passable. that's all i ask for. for now.

I'm back in action

Been really missing in action for the past 2 week or so.. missed a few days of lessons.. skipped a few volleyball trainings.. just couldnt seem to get myself sorted out and motivated.. i simply allowed myself to drop back below the pace of lectures and tutorials even more..

well it's over and i cant do anything about it.. after this week will be chinese new year week and also our mid term break... which is basically my mugging week.. but irritating NUS actually place it in the same week.. and eat up my mugging days... aarrgghhh...

this week is the busiest week so far... been rushing on 2 essays the past to days.. and later a third one.. which is also the toughest one to complete... 5 webpages to assess plus 2 more written articles... aarrgghh... too much essays for a civil engineer!!!

time to hit the readings...

Confessions of a Undermotivated guy

I DID NOT GO TO SCHOOL TODAY AGAIN!!!

I woke up around 7plus, but i fell asleep again. Arrgghh. The next time i woke up, it's 10 plus which is too late for any lessons, cos my day will end at 12pm today. So i just went back to sleep again, and by doing that i totally forgot i had to go for a survey at School of Computing. That survey pays $15, aarrgghh. There goes my $$. Seriously, i don't feel too bad about missing today's lessons, cos only a few hours. I'll try to go for tml's lesson. Hehee..

HOWEVER,

I did make it to training in Tj, although, i felt i was rather not involved in their training. Only did a few drills which i did not feel was quite achieving the results that we were looking for. Gotta find other ways to train their mobility on the court. To me that's their BIGGEST problem now and PT may not be the best way to do it. PT makes them move around, but that doesnt mean they will transfer that moment into the court. I think training should revolve around the court, make them move towards the ball as an aim to achieve. We shall see.

Sidetrack -

I just finished watching the 1st leg of the Asean Championship Finals and to my surprise. Singapore won by 2 to 1. It's a match with a HUGE controversy. Singapore was level at 1-1 till around the 82nd min, when a penalty was awarded to Singapore. Although it doesnt really look like a penalty, but that's the kind of things that happen in soccer, or rather all sports. Referee's are human, they don't make the best decisions all the time, but we still have to respect their decisions and get on with the game. What's ridiculous here was Thailand's response to the penalty decision, the Thai Captain, simply rallyed his players and immediately walked of the pitch and they refused to carry on with the game! Oh my god, that's the first time i've ever seen something this unsporting at this sort of level. For goodness sake this is an international match that's telecasted across the region. The worst part was that the Thai coaches & managers seemed to condone their players actions. This will be remembered by all who are watching this match as THE most humiliating thing the Thai soccer team ever did. They were always known as the soccer Kings of Southeast Asia, after this episode i really wonder how low their popularity will drop. Sheeesshhh..

It's more than just NUS

Looking at the past few posts, it's seems as if my life has just been taken over by NUS. But that's just not the case, in fact i would be rather please with myself if that were the case. At least i wun have to be worrying about my homework everyday and lagging behind, like i am now. School is supposed to be taking up a huge part of my time at this stage of my life, but i've been wasting a lot of time in front of my TV and my laptop. Sometimes, well most of the time when i'm wanting to do work, i get sick of it even before starting to do it. and so, i switching on my laptop or tv and start wasting my time away. successful people are those are are able to turn away from TV & computers and DO WORK..

if i were to sectionalise the times and activities for the past few weeks it should look something like this:

sleeping - 15%
eating, drinking, traveling + other miscellaneous stuff- 10%
school related - 20%
volleyball - 20%
lazing away + watching TV + laptop - 35%

a little off balance i would say... time for some time and activity restructuring.. first, i've gotta work on my sleep,

more sleep = more work done, less sleep = less work done.

and i really MUST stick to my 2 hr/day entertainment time.. aarrgghhh...

3 weeks of school

This week is filled with ups and downs... missed a few days of lessons cos i was just feeling super low.. but on the days i went to school i felt i've learnt something from the lessons.. however after the lessons i face the cruel reality that i'm still laggin behind and the gap justs seems to get greater & greater..

going back to tj for volleyball has been really enjoyable for me.. winning or losing is never the main point even though no one wants to be on the losing side.. the main thing is to enjoy the game and have people who enjoy the game with me...

it's piling up on my mind, i really want a car.. any car will do... i just want my own transport...

2nd week of school

In a blink of an eye another week has past... i would say i've gain slightly more in this week than the last... however i feel the greatest knowledge i've gained is the alarming fact that my workload is actually quite heavy.. because there's reading to be done very week, there's not just tutorials, but essays & reading summaries... feels as if i'm taking a lot of arts modules.. and there are also quite a few lab projects to be done.. labs are no longer just 3 hrs in the lab.. do some dumb experiment and submit a few pages of writen report at the end of everything.. labs this semester involve planning, data collection and analyses and finall consolidation and report, which could take up to a few weeks.. OMG... and there still volleyball training everyday for me.. now i think not being able to play in the IVP may just be a blessing in disguise.. i just hope to get thru this sem safely with good results..

1 Week of School

After my first week of school nothing much was achieved. I've missed everything since wednesday. stay at home, din go school, din go for volleyball. I ask myself, why am i killing myself? by not going to school, i miss lectures. I get lost with the procedings in my modules. Not wise at all.

By not going for vball, i miss training chances. I will be deem irresponsible by my players. I'm diggin my own grave. It's time to buck up and set my priorities straight. Yes, i need to set my priorities straight.. SCHOOL, VBALL, ENTERTAINMENT. not the other way away...

1st day of School

Just spent my 1st day in school for the new semester. Only 1 lecture today, quite boring, but i have to endure, cos i sense more coming. Arrgghh.. gotta jia you.

This semester, there will be 2 main focus for me. School work and TJ. IVP is now officially out of the picture, cos i'm not in the team. not too big of a surprise though i wanted to be on the team. at my present physical state i dun have much to offer anyway. shall just respect the decision. meanwhile i will stick to my 10 things for 2007 to get into better shape, and i'll fight for a place next year.

haven spent much time with yanli lately, cos her grandfather just past away. yah, i've been to the wake. i've only seen his grandfather once b4, and was not introduced to him. anyway, she's been spending a few nites at the wake already, poor thing.

One Litre of Tears

this is a simple tribute to the very touching and encouraging drama " 1 litre of tears" its a story about a young gal who was diagnosis with a terminal disease which would lead her paralysed and and all other body functions like speach, and finally death. it's about her struggles while having this terminal illness and staying positive and cheerful. although its a very very sad story with an inevitable ending, it's in fact very encouraging and inspiring.

HAPPY 2007

HAPPY NEW YEAR.. HAPPY 2007..

it's a new year and i've started it by watching DEATH NOTE Marathon... i think it's quite good show. it's quite thrilling, watching the ruthlessness of Light just sends the chills down my spine. In order to achieve and maintain his twisted form of justice, he is willing to sacrifice everyone. The main characters for this movies are very well created, every role intrigued. Well, Light is ruthlessly interesting, "L" is a JOKE, Misa's real adorable(her total obedience and infatuation of Light is just so perfect!! :P) so is Light's sister & gf(whom was killed by Light), but most of all the biggist star of the movie is RYUK, the Shinigami(God of Death). RYUK is totally computer animated, but he is the character with filled the corniest and lamest expressions anyone could have, he single handedly convert this suspense thriller into a comedy.

In a nutshell, this is a good show to watch for many reasons. There must be at least one reason which makes the show entertaining for u.

So now we, step into 2007, and the 10 habits for myself will kickstart very very soon... :)

10 Habits for a successful KELUN in 2007

It's the time of the year when ppl start thinking about new year resolutions again. time and time again, i've set out tasks for myself to achieve.

these are my resolutions for this year:

1. lose weight
2. pass IPPT
3. CAP > 3.5
4. be nice to yanli
5. make some frens

out of which, i only achieved being slightly nicer to yanli, and that's only my opinion. the rest of my tasks i failed terribly. perhaps i was setting my goals a little to high. i shld be looking at the smaller steps first. so these will be my 10 things to remind myself for 2007
  1. ask for less carbs in my meals(ie. less rice/noodles). reducing diet slowly, make myself eat less, even when i'm very tired after workout.
  2. spend at max $3 meal, especially when in school.
  3. buffets only happen once a month, so does pig trotters.
  4. visit my swimming pool at least twice a week, at least 45mins each time. anyone who wanna join me please do so by informing me at least a day prior.
  5. max of 2hrs of tv+games+ each weekday. 6hrs on weekends.
  6. at least 3hrs each day on concentrated studying(excluding lesson hrs). to achieve this i'll have to spend time before/in between/after lessons in school cos to home just doesnt work.
  7. dun put on a glum face for anyone, try to smile more, even for strangers, but especially for people i know
  8. be nicer to people around me, dun reject helping just because i'm lazy(as long as i rethink why i reject helping ppl, most of the time is cos i'm lazy. but if u ask me at that pt, i just come up with some lame reason.)
  9. at least 6 hrs of continuous sleep each day, (ie. sleep by 1am)
  10. finally make sure i stick to all my above rules. people around me who see me, please help me by reminding me. thanks!!!

so that's it, i believe these 10 habits will help me make 2007 a successful year for myself and the people around me.

Results

I've gotten my results for last sem yesterday, it was rather disappointing actually, 3 sems into NUS, and my best grade is only a B+, and that was in my 1st sem. Anyway, this sem alone, my CAP was 3.2, last sem was 2.0, first sem was 3.3. All in all, a pretty discouraging CAP of 2.76, but it was some improvement.

next sem, i'm going to challenge myself. i'm going to take 6 modules, 4 core, 1 yr 1 module(retaking cos got F), and 1 Sg studies module. well that's not the challenge, it's studies plus vball.. i'm going to participate in IVP and also coach back in TJ.. i think this really sounds challenging. time is of the essence. no time to waste at all. must keep working non-stop. no more watching cable, playing games.

Now, all i really need is a transport. if only i could afford my own car, a small one will do... :P

Boxing Day

Christmas is over and it's boxing day, a day when all presents will be unwrapped. this shld be the happiest day of the holiday season for most kids. alas, i'm no longer a kid, so this day doesnt seem to hold much meaning for me. ya, that's cos i dun have any presents to unwrap. :(

i guess this yr's christmas is one of the most uneventful one i've ever spent. literally did almost nothing except eat and sleep through the day. but the weirdest part is still this feeling of depression which sort of engulfed me, from the moment i woke up. from that point on, i had a frowning, sulking face hanging for the rest of the day. i think that kindda spoilt yanli's christmas too. i'm sorry. i tried to explain to myself why i would feel so down. but as i look for answers i found TOO many, that kindda made me felt worst.

so i have so many things to feel down about? exam results, sch reopening, coaching, packing up my stuff.

i was still alrite on christmas eve, was still sending everyone "merry X'mas" messages.. was watching "A night in the museum", i think i started becoming quiet during the show, everyone was laughing away, while i was giving only a quiet grin. i din know wat was going thru my head then... but i guess i know now, cos there seems to be endless stuff for me to do and time seems to be slowly creeping away from me. and this sucks, i guess...

supposed to have volleyball training this morning, but i have been coughing the whole day since yesterday, so i gave it a miss. i wanted to go for training, cos i thought i would make me feel better, forget abt all the down stuff. but the coughing was really killing me.. *cough* Cough*

exam results will be out tml... *fingers crossed*

1st Test Of Skills

this morning tj gals got their first taste of somewhat competitive volleyball. they had a frenly match with cchs. physically the cchs gals seem rather tall, though they were only 14/15 yr olds. the results turned out to be rather disappointing, tj lost 4-1. cchs wasn't considered a strong opponent, but basics wise they have a much stronger background compared to our gals. it was a matchup that was decided on who made the most mistakes. successful attack were far and few. what's encouraging was that most of the players in the courts were not the strongest we have. i would say that our key players would be yumei, shiyun & vanessa. among them, yumei and vanessa only play one set, and shiyun was still in thailand. the team was made of of quite a few beginners like yanting and alicia, both played pretty well. i hope that this match has given them a glimpse of the arduous task they have ahead of them. it's an uphill battle, but they have to understand they are not alone.

oh yah, meiyan - thanks for the socks. haha..

Busy Day

it's been a long long week. there was quite a few unusual things had happened in this short span of 5 days. mainly related to volleyball training. but i felt the most disappointing thing with regards to training is their attendance. compared to the beginning when i took over, the attendance this week was pathetic, yesterday only 4 guys turns up for training, plus one more whose appeal to tj was rejected, so 5 guys. i was having a huge headache as to wat drill to conduct, if i were to do PT instead, it would be double strenuous for a small group. really headache. gals attendance still not to bad, the least was 8, but that's like half the original number of them. sometimes i wonder, if it's me coaching them, that's y they feel that training is not as impt, that would have been very very depressing for me.

there were also incidents with a player struggling to cope with progress in training, which led to the involvement of tj's 2 VPs to talk to me. well, i thought i would have been able to handle them well, and i thought i did. but when wanyang spoke to them, i realise the way i spoke was rather, kiddish. anyway, the matter was somewat resolved. all in all i am confident in my responsibilities, i know wat are the personalities and intricacies i shld take note of, i believe i did not fail.

yesterday's the last training for this holiday. training will only resume after school reopens, which is only like less than 2 weeks later, at the same time, my school term will start too, and IVP will also kick into action. I have a huge question mark now, as to how i'm suppose to juggle all these stuff happening at the same time. but these will be my priority list:
  1. school
  2. tj coaching
  3. IVP

this will be a test for me, in the past i've turn away many times when faced with time issues. next sem i would really have to juggle my time carefully, cos i wun have much or even any to spare.

there's 2 gatherings going on yesterday, one at kaiyu's place, the other at esther's place. i decided to go to kaiyu's place first to grab some food before going to esther's it turn out to be a rather wrong choice. wasted quite a lot time at esther's place rotting away. i left kaiyu's place too early, so din take photo with them. quite sad abt that cos alot of ppl from our class turn up. but i did take some photos over at esther's place, quite happy about that, but pity ZZ left too early, she was in such a persistant mood to leave. none of us could stop her. duhzZ...

anyway, the photos will be uploaded into the fotopic site very soon. just remember to check the side bar for updates.

Here comes Week 2

I'm looking forward to my 2nd week in charge of the tj vball teams. I need to instill more discipline and self-responsibility in the players. after a week, i can tell that some are commited to learning the game. while some simply are there just to waste time, both mine and theres. thankfully, i see hope. cos most of them listen and has shown progress and changes in attitude. let's see if i'm really cut out to be a coach in the coming week.

At the same time, NUS will be coming down to tj for their trainings. It's gonna be taxing for me.. coachings monday to friday, plus nus trainings tues and thurs. woah.. time to get fit fit fit..

Coaching is Fun yet Taxing

Today i have a break from having to coach everyday, cos badminton's having camp in school today, so guys training was actually brought forward to yesterday.

Finally, i'm getting a hang of the traits of coaching. it's not as easy as it looks. but once put your mind too it, it's not that hard. as long as u think on the line of improving your players potentials, life becomes much easier as long as you know what to be done. the initial stages is the toughest cos i'm not familiar with them yet, nor do i know wat their strengths and weaknesses are. but i believe as training progresses, i'll be able to understand them better and coaching will become more effective.

End of Training Week 1

today i had my 1st solo training session, had to lead the tj guys through training.. having a solo makes me understand the difficulties in being a coach. when there's a another coach around, all i had to do was follow instructions, carry out the training drills, pick out their mistakes and correct them. when i lead, i have to so all of the above and decide what drills to carry out and sometimes, not all drills are effective. sometimes the effectiveness is not there, depending on the mentality of the players. that's another huge thing to deal with, the personalities of all these players, some have huge egos, others seem as if they are autistic.

basically, it's a difficult task handling training. it makes me appreciate coaches and other teammates who make the effort to conduct trainings. luckily wanyang came down today to help out in training. otherwise i would be quite lost.

there's just one other irritating thing about going back to tj, u have to face the brainless OM idiot.. and some dumb security guards.. picks on me for wearing slippers into school and not signing in.. one of the guards recognises me, so it's usually fine for me to just go in.. but when that dumb OM is around he bitches about slippers.. and this morning.. i waved at the security guard, he smiled back at me, and i just walking in, but there this other one who seem quite lost.. and apparently he when to report to OM abt me not signing in.. WAT an Asshole.. den OM came to find me at the court and KPKB.. saying he can call police.. blah blah blah... in a nutshell.. a waste of my time.. almost spolit my day...

Day 3 - 2nd Last Day!!

3rd paper of the exams is over.. seemed do-able.. but that's not a good sign for us.. esp when there's plenty of foreigners in our cohort.. i just hope they dun all get full marks.. that would totally destroy my chance of getting a good result.. anyway... i felt more confident after doing this paper comapred to the last 2.. simply cost i was able to answer more qns.. just for the sake of ppl who dun know my exam format.. for all my papers this semester.. there's only 4 qns, each worth 25 marks... maybe it's coincidence.. maybe not..

went to eat ma la huo guo again for a 2nd time this week.. quite shiok.. haha.. this stall that i go to doesnt make my ass burn the next day.. so it's good.. :P i'll do a small write up soon at my food site.. stay tuned yah??

oh yah.. most imptly.. 2nd last day of exams.. tml is last paper.. and it's open book!! yeah!!

End of Exam Day 2

Day 2 has ended.. i'm half way thru the exams.. and i'm pretty depressed about my progress so far... i know i wun be able to get any As from the last 2 papers.. and i doubt i'll be getting any from the next 2 papers as well..

depressing sums up my feelings for this examination till now..

the bravest man, recovers from defeat and strive into victory..

well, i'm the laziest brave man, and the dummest too.. why??

cos i always recover from defeats, and strive to work harder, but i always lose steam in the end, just cos i was too lazy to carry on.. and why am i e dummest... cos i will repeat the whole procedure again very very soon... it's worst than a vicious cycle, it's a vicious cycle that i cant escape from...

An Old friend

Just came back after meeting up with a very old fren.. not that she's old.. it just i havent seen her in like 8 yrs.. yup.. that's abt it.. haven seen her since secondary school.. basically she went canada after O lvl's, the last time she came back it was 5 yrs ago. i was in army then, so i didnt get the chance to meet up with her.

so yah, she's back for a fren's wedding.. and we took the chance to meet up with her.. kaiyu, tenghui, silie and i, we met up with her at bugis and brought her along to tong shui.. it was kindda hard getting her out initially, tried a few weekends but she was always flying somewhere else.. cos she was busy with lots of other stuff.. somehow got her out today.. only to realise she's leaving next week.. that's so soon.. maybe the next time we meet, it will be me visiting her in canada..

not seeing her for so long made me almost forgot about her existence... meeting up with her brought back tons of memories.. i guess i was quite short of words just now, din really know wat to say or ask her.. just some crap talking in the end.. i guess i was overwhelmed by all the images coming back from memory lane.. still thinking about the past, and suddenly remembering all the nooks and crannies.. quite amazing actually how much i have in my memory, stuff which i din even know i remembered... but apparent i remembered quite alot abt her.. that's the fun part abt see someone u haven seen in a very very long time..

Exams and holidays

Lessons are over for now.. no more lectures and tutorials.. it's now time for revision and more revision.. exams will be starting next week.. ending next week too.. 4 days of exams.. 4 papers... all in the afternoon.. just hope i can do well.. i really need the good results to pull up my grades.. let's see how well i can do..

been back to tj for training/coaching.. guys only barely enough ppl, and they are not very good either.. dun have a convincing team to put up... as for the gals.. they have plenty of people as usual.. but the interesting thing i realised is that almost all of them are from TA.. that means 15/16 year olds.. very small.. that explain why their skills are still quite amaturish.. but the good thing is there's still time to train.. and i hop ei can make something out of it...

schedule recently is quite packed.. and i'm really trying to get enough rest.. i'm so so so drained now.. there's supposed to be training at 730am tml.. but i told fung i'm going to skip it.. cant take it.. need more rest.. and i have to study... will be back on the court on thurs...

我们don't give a damn

I like this song... :P

Change of Tides

after today, there will be no more tests left.. wat's left ahead is just the exams... no more rushing to mug for a test.. wat's left is just week long muggings for a full paper... has anything changed?? plenty have changed.. and plenty remains the same..

how am i to keep on going in this boring and tiresome lifestyle? how shld i motivate myself to keep moving while everyday i'm losing a few paces, lagging a little more.. I must not give up yet.. lagging i may be.. but at long as i keep moving on.. there will be a chance of catching up..

**Euphoria** :)

I'm so happy that the perhaps the toughest friday of the semester is now over.. i'm done with the assignments for this week and also the test.. it turns out that the test was pretty easy... and i'm glad i spent the previous nite completing my assignments.. now i can relax a little this weekend..

i'm so so tired when i finished the test.. my stomach was growling like mad.. can feel my stomach turning inside out.. ouch.. it kindda started hurting.. but i drank some water and slept it away on the bus home.. and i thought to myself.. i think i shld eat something, like a reward for myself for completing my work and surviving thru it, even if it's for now.. so i ate chicken cutlet at a coffeeshop near my place.. the food was not bad.. but i seriously have never seen a thinner looking piece of chicken.. amazingly thin.. anyway after food i went home and totally knocked out in front of my TV...

i only woke up around 10plus, just in time for my online meeting at 11pm.. hahaa.. wonderful mental clock.. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt... haha..

anyway i JUST came back from some supper with tenghui and silie.. and tenghui has more and more to talk about his business idea.. which is still very very vague to me.. and pretty much unrealistic.. but i shall not write him off yet.. cos sometimes u need such ppl to spark a wonderful idea.. so yah.. keep on disillusioning.. hehe...

Zombified

It's been a very long time since i used this word. But this word totally describe me today. I'm like a walking corpse, with totally no knowledge of anything happening around me. yupzZ.. that's zombified.. reached school at just after 8am to do my com lab report... manage to finish 95% in like 5hrs... but i kept dozing off.. really had to struggle to keep myself awake..

after which i was just drifting around classes till now.. totally have no will to say anything or give any expression other den my zombied look.. some ppl did notice i was looking damn tired.. which i really was...

still have volleyball training later on.. i'm really wondering if i can keep this up.. huge test on friday which i haven studied.. and 2 assignments also due on friday, which i coincidentally also haven started doing.. yah.. that's e problem..

i'm feeling so zombified... i cant think...
