Day 40 of Work & Travel - Cody PowWoW

This morning i went on a trip with the recreation hall to Cody. There's an event known as a Pow Wow, it's like a carnival where native americans get together to dress-up in their traditional costumes and show off their products, dances and such. It's really vibrant and there's lots of ppl around that area where they held the Pow Wow. My camera is not really working well today, which made me rather sad about that, the white parallel lines are back and it seems to be worsening. I'm going to try to reduce the use of it.

The Pow Wow was actually quite nice, i wanted to see the dancing competitions, but we had to leave early cos the rec hall peeps as to be back in old faithful for dinner. :P so we only manage to catch the Grand Opening and glimpses of the competitions for kids. :P

We had a quick stop at the Walmart in Cody, I knew what i need to get and i headed straight for the section where i could find my stuff. I picked up a 250gb portable harddisk and a 2gb mp3player for only 180USD, which i found quite worthed it. :)

I had a quick dinner once i got back to old faithful, cos i was preparing to drive to a rodeo west yellowstone just outside west yellowstone. I had a bunch of passengers along with me too. All of us are new to rodeo, but it really looks quite exciting. There were bucking horses, bucking buffaloes which the cowboys had to try to stay on and gain points for time and posture. There was breakaway where the cowboys/gals will try to lasso a runaway calve in the shortest time possible. there are also events which involves the kids from the audience, they had to chase after a calve to grab a red ribbon tied on it's tail. Really fun to see them running around. And all the kids are given a dollar for their effort, the winner get xtra food vouchers from some restaurant. quite exciting. Had to pay 10USD to watch the rodeo, and i think that's money well spent.

really tired when i got back, but i'm still ok. Just love to see everyone having fun. :)
